You Don't Know Just How Good Things Can Get Until You Move Things Around!

Yesterday, I was sitting out in my backyard taking in all of my plants and flowers in my zen den. It's those moments when Fall shows up and the trees begin to lose their leaves, the flowers, and plants begin to fade. Their bright flowers become less and less until they are gone. As I was taking in all of the beauty, nature, and calm in my backyard, I noticed the plant (the one in the picture). I love this plant it's a mixture of Begonia and all kinds of other plants that I have no idea what they are. It's so beautiful. When I looked at this plant yesterday, I for the first time since Mother's Day saw the bright red Begonia blooms. My kids get me this plant every year and I couldn't figure out why this year it was giving me a problem. I had trimmed the dead, I had flipped it around, I had trimmed the shrubbery all around it so that it could get more light. I did "all the things" and still the thing was just dead-looking and it wouldn't bloom or grow. About a month ago I came outside and noticed that my hubby had moved the plant to our Pergola. I was upset. I asked him why he had moved it. He said because it was dying. I didn't like where he had moved it and I was upset that we was "taking over my domain" a bit. I thought well it can't get any worse it's already just about dead. I was a bit peeved though. Over the next few weeks, I would notice the plant as I would grill or swim and I thought, hhmm, it looks like it's improving. No blooms, but it looked better. I couldn't understand how though because it was in almost full shade!! I looked over at my plant yesterday.

Guess what happened?

As you can see in the picture above, the plant loves its new spot.

For the first time in 4 months, it's blooming. It's thriving there. It turns out I had the plant in full sun and what it loved was just about full shade!! I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought that this is how it is in manifesting. When we control the way something we desire something has to be, we don't bloom, we don't grow, we cant expand. What we desire doesn't come to us because we are unintentionally blocking ourselves off from growing and thriving! When we loosen our grip and give over control of how something has to look or come to us, we bloom, we thrive, we grow, and we expand!

This is what has inspired this week's blog post: Is there a place or topic or area in your life that you are trying to control? Is there any area of your life where you insist something has to be a particular way even when it's not working? If you would like to share what came up for you, drop it in the comments below.
